Family Child Care Homes (FCCH) have many unique qualities that set them apart from other early care and education settings. A FCCH setting offers several benefits to families. Some benefits include a neighborhood-based home environment, smaller groups of children, mixed-age groups so that siblings can be together, and greater flexibility in hours of operation. The Early Learning Coalition takes pride in its commitment to the quality of our school readiness and VPK family child care home providers. FCCH providers face their own set of challenges and it is up to us, as stakeholders in the early learning community, to provide them with ongoing support and resources.
