The Early Learning Coalition of Duval is proud to participate in the "Unplug & Connect Campaign." What is it? The campaign is aimed at helping young children reach their potential by asking parents to make a pledge to "unplug from their mobile devices and connect with their children every day."

Your voice helps you connect with your child

These days, parents and their children always seem to be buried in their smartphone or tablet... relying more and more on digital devices, instead of reading, talking and/or singing with their child.

Quality Time Matters

The ELC of Duval wants to remind parents that 85% of a child's critical brain development occurs by age 5. Because of this, it's important for a child to not only have access to quality early education, but also engage with their parents and family outside of school hours.
